I was six months pregnant and we wanted somewhere relaxing to chill out at but close enough to Tarifa town and beaches. This place was perfect for us. We stayed in the private Cadiz which had amazing views over the Straits to Morrocco with it's own garden and easy access to the pool. We had lovely leisurely breakfasts on the terrace and made day trips to the nearby beaches and went into town to check out the Tapas in the evening. ..... ahhh such lovely memories and fantastic, friendly, knowledgeable hosts. from Mags000, UK - 21 Oct 2008 We're reluctant to share the secret of Huerta las Terrazas (aka Accommodation Tarifa) with others - when you find a place this special you want to keep it to yourself. This would be a terrible injustice to Amy and Al however, two simply wonderful people who welcome guests into their home like old friends and make your stay a uniquely memorable one. My boyfriend and I just spent a week staying with them and have returned to the UK feeling relaxed and calmed. This is a place to ease the stress out of you; an oasis in today's crazy world. Whether it is lying by the beautiful pool (fed by water from a mountain spring), ambling around the garden with views of Morocco, riding horses locally, walking in the mountains behind the house, exploring Tarifa (10 minutes by car) or just lazing in the stylish surroundings of the terrace & sitting room there's plenty to do or not do. As others have mentioned it it the little things that make your stay unforgettable. The breakfasts were a highlight, served on the terrace surrounded by flowers. Candles and music greet you in the evenings. There's an honesty bar - one evening we curled up with a bottle of wine in the comfy sitting room and Al insisted on lighting a roaring open fire to warm us. Al and Amy are incredibly warm and friendly but not overbearing in any way. They've managed to strike the right balance. I challenge you to find more perfect hosts. The breakfasts are superbly made and delivered by Al. The rooms are beautiful, freshly drawn water from their well, lavander on the pillows are just some of the little touches that make this place perfect. Not forgetting the hosts who become your friends, they have plenty of advice on places to go, to eat and to visit. The gardens are exquisite and are exceptionally well kept. We could not rate this any higher.
