Massage Tarifa
Amy trained at the West London School for Therapeutic Massage. She studied (part time) CranioSacral Therapy under Zakia Collins ( Upledger USA C.S.T Practitioner) for four years prior coming to Spain. Zakia has spent many years heralding the treatment and campaigning to regulate the practice of the therapy. CST therapy is often unknown to many people, so Amy felt is necessary to pass the ITEC Massage, Anatomy and Physiology exam to combine the familiar massage techniques with the quietly beneficial results of CranioSacral Therapy.CranioSacral Therapy is a fully clothed treatment that produces profound relaxation. Gentle specific moves performed by the therapist identify areas of imbalance, and in turn facilitate the body's own desire to self-correct.
The Cranio Sacral system and the techniques used offer a bridge between objective science and spiritual healing. This therapy focuses on problem solving; it enhances vitality, boosts the immune system, improves spinal cord function and reduces the accumulated stress we suffer today in our busy lives.
Massage has direct psychological benefits. Physically, massage increases metabolism, hastens healing, relaxes and refreshes the muscles and improves the detoxifying functions of the lymphatic system. Psychologically, massage relieves fatigue, reduces tension and anxiety, calms the nervous system and promotes a sense of relaxation and renewed energy. Massage is an integration of mind, body and spirit, a perfect way to boost our energy flow at all levels.
CranioSacral Therapy - €35 (60 minutes)
Swedish Massage with Mandala Aroma’s Aromatherapy Oils - €45 (60 minutes)
Combination Therapy - €60 (1 1/2 hrs)
The treatment is started with 1/2 hr Cranio. Gentle, but specific touch helps to loosen restrictions and tensions in the soft tissues. This is then supported by an hour’s aromatherapy massage to stimulate blood flow.
Massage Treatments - Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy’s holistic qualities are widely documented. Amy’s long-standing friend Gillian Kavanagh M.I.F.A has had a strong interest in Aromaptherapy for many years. A qualified aromatherapist Gillian was trained by Germaine Rich, the ex – chairman of the IFA and co-founder of Aromatherapy Associates. When Gillian began practising Aromatherapy she realised that many of her clients loved the high quality blends she created and so, Mandala Aroma was born.Mandala' s secret lies in dynamic, powerful effective synergistic blends. Mandala uses a high concentration of organic essential oils in luxury carrier oils for each product. Specialised hand blending enhances the synergy of each active ingredient and creates unique aromatic effects for each product that work on the body, mind and emotions.
Using organic oils, and wild grown plants where available, it means they support the environment and the growers. Most importantly you the client, receive a far more potent and superior product.
Mandala Aroma uses higher percentage of essential oils from 3%- 20% depending on the product. This gives the client a true aromatherapy treatment.
Many products on the market purporting to be Aromatherapy contain very low dilution of essential oils from 0.01%-3% and some are in a mineral oil base which is not considered true aromatherapy by qualified aromatherapists.
Where possible they use organic based oils and organic essential oils. Gillian has carefully chosen each oil for its therapeutic effect and also its fragrance note.
All Treatment oils for massage are added to a rich base of carrier oils - peach kernel, sweet almond, or sunflower.
Gillian developed a range that works specifically on the Chakras – we have selected three oils from the range to enhance the massage and allow the body to receive a deeper level of treatment.
